Ce mai citim?

English version follows below

Din fericire, livreaza si in Romania carti :)

I have always liked to read because each book, whether a specialised one from the area of personal development (my specialty), or a novel, has opened before my eyes a new and fascinating universe. And for a few years now, since I started to use an iPad for both job-related stuff and for my free time (the iPad is my permanent companion because I use it for all sorts of activities, from taking notes during the personal development counseling sessions I facilitate, to checking and sending e-mails, browsing the Internet or maintaining contact with my friends who live abroad via iMessage and FaceTime), I started reading books in electronic format.

Most electronic books I download via the iBooks app but there are others that I download for free or for a small fee, from various websites. So I thought to offer you a list of websites from where you can download ebooks for free or for a fee, books of all kinds:
  • www.amazon.co.uk  is the largest portal where you can buy books, both in physical form and in various electronic formats, compatible with reading on your computer, iPad, Kindle, tablets, etc. Fortunately, they also deliver in Romania :)
  • www.scribd.com is the largest portal through which users share electronic books. The vast majority of books are free, but there are also books for which you need to pay.
  • www.openculture.com is a website that hosts about 600 books in electronic format. Here you can also find about 700 movies which you can view online for free. In addition, you can also enjoy for free more than 1,000 online courses, all offered by top universities all around the world.
  • www.questia.com offers over 5,000 books of all kinds but, unfortunately, you cannot download them offline, so you need to read them online.
  • www.gutenberg.org offers over 45,000 free eBooks from all fields, in five languages: English, German, French, Italian and Portuguese.
  • bookboon.com offers more than 1,000 books in electronic format that can be downloaded without any registration. They also have a category of books for personal development!

Enjoy!
