Russell Foster: De ce dormim? / Why do we sleep?

English version follows in the second part of the post

Russell Foster, the presenter in the video I propose you today, is a neuroscientist who studies the sleep cycles of the brain. And he asks: What do we know about sleep, i.e. something we do with one-third of our lives. In this talk, Russell Foster shares three popular theories about why we sleep, busts some myths about how much sleep we need at different ages and hints at some interesting new uses of sleep as a predictor of mental health.

If this presentation caught your interest, I invite you to watch this presentation which lasts some 22 minutes.
